[ SHOWGSD-L ] Futurity entries.

Speaking from the point of an exhibitor who has shown in several futurities I
have to say that distance and money affect whether I will go. Many times
people enter their puppies with the knowledge that they probably won't show
them in the futurity, either the dog is too immature or maybe going through
pano or those gangly stages. But they need to enter in order to show in the
maturity. It might be worthwhile to contact the absentees and find out just why
they didn't show, maybe we can come up with a solution that will encourage more
to participate. I talked to some friends this weekend who are as a group
renting an RV and all going to the futurity together. Thats a great idea and a
way to save money. Like carpooling maybe we should try to come together and
pool our resources. Just a thought.
