Lol! I’m trying to stay positive but I see and hear a lot of people complaining
about things but nobody offering solutions. So, I thought I would offer
solutions and back it up with action. It has to start somewhere.
My hope is that all the posters who send private messages or read posts but
never respond…use their voice. The only way change can happen is if people
speak up and start the discussion on ways to improve things.
But, I also get it. Some of the most vicious, nasty, jaw dropping posts I have
ever received as private messages from The List were sent by GSDCA judges. So,
I understand why people would be afraid to post their ideas. That is too bad
that there is so much power in the hands of a few……..
I don’t mind if people disagree. I mind when people disagree and don’t offer
their own suggestion on ways to improve something! Fine….if you don’t agree
with me than share your own ideas on ways to help increase Futurity funds and
entries and expand memberships. I am all for that!!
I am passionate about the breed and I want to be proud of my National Breed
Club. I want to support ALL club members. I want my Club to grow and I want
everyone to feel like they have a voice and there is a place for them. If I
didn’t appreciate conformation that I wouldn’t have volunteered at so many
conformation events, sat for hours at large cluster all-breed shows watching
the breed dogs, or recently bred to an American Select Grand Champion…TWICE.
There are good dogs in all bloodlines.
At some point, talk is cheap and we need real, concrete ideas to help the Club
grow. The old ideas are not working.
As a side note…I am in favor of the Nationals rotating! Just had to throw that
in there…sorry!

mind when folks disagree with me, but I learn more from the folks that do
disagree with me... years ago we had a lister who has since passed away,
Frank Tate.... he had some really different views, but agree or disagree I
enjoyed his posts.... I think he got more folks angry than I do! Ed
