it is one standard...it calls for a working gait. It calls for very
specific angles, and temperament.
If you adhere to the standard as closely as Mother Nature will allow..then
it doesn't matter from whence it came.
It eliminates the "German dogs are too short necked, no front, no croup, and
are too drivey for most"
It eliminates the "American dogs are spindly, lack secondary sex
characteristics , and drag their rear ends, and have poor nerves"
A GOOD DOG IS JUST THAT, BY STANDARD, NO MATTER YOU COME FROM OR FROM WHAT
COUNTY IT'S ORIGIN. It is one standard, GSDCA , FCI, SV.....the words are
of the same meaning.
This is a working dog, that moves, a moving dog that works. Deviations from
that happen on BOTH sides of the pond.
