PS. One other thought what would happen to the Vet Schools eventually? I
live in Davis, the UC Davis Vet School is on of the finest. Can you picture
a school with the reputation they have, and not having a dog client base.
Don't let it happen !!!
Unfortunately, vets and vet schools will have a thriving business. Why?
Because the only dogs available will be puppy mill puppies or shelter dogs
of unknown origin and health. No longer will the buyers of a companion dog
know the health and background of their puppy. They will have to buy what
the State allows the to own. Gosh, sounds like Russia. Vets would stay busy
dealing with sick pups and long term health problems of sub-standard dogs.
Perhaps that is why they endorsed the bill in the first place. Hmmmm.
