I am kind of amazed at the numbers of the Board that voted for this decision
with no consideration or willingness
to take it to the members.
You know.........
....the MEMBERS that make up this Club and actually ENTER and support the
National with their entries, which are
the actual income that makes it a success......along with their Dues that also
support the GSDCA, Inc. monetarily,
which is a big part of the income that needs to reach the level of the $583,
000 asset ...or above...that the Board so
desires. Yeah..........THOSE MEMBERS!!
My attitude about our U.S. 'Lawmakers' has always been that they should only
be allowed to pass a law that they
themselves also have to abide by.
I would love to see the Board of the GSDCA, Inc. rotate the National enough for
them to have to drive for 2 or 3 days
of hard driving to show their own dogs every couple of years.........let alone
EVERY YEAR!!.
Sure makes us appreciate Linda Bankhead, Gloria Birch and Helen Gleason.

The Nationals will be held in St. Louis unless the motion is overturned by the
new BOD.

"Larry Rock pointed out that we need to minimize any negative yearly operating
results by not holding our National shows at sites that result in increased
costs. Larry moved that the GSDCA holds its National Shows at the Purina Show
site in Gray Summit, MO from 2018 onward until such time as the members’ net
asset position is at or above the 2009 level of $583,000. Frank seconded. Zoe
stated that it should go to the membership for a vote. For the motion: Morton
Goldfarb, Pam O’Dell, Joy Schultz, Frank Fasano, Dania Karloff, Jim Moses and
Larry Rock. Against the motion: Linda Bankhead, Gloria Birch and Helen Gleason.
Abstaining: Zoe Backman. Motion passed."

One of the more popular ways to gamble on sport events is the "Over Under"
bets... this involves a set number of total points for both teams and you bet
either the total will go over or under... I'm setting the over/under line of

groomers lives about 50 miles from me ( Brenda Shepard) and I had an
appointment with her at 9:00AM. Well halfway there one of the major roads I
take to get there was closed due to flooding! Don't know Brenda's number so
needless to say I was 25 minutes late! So now I sit in the car and wait! I'm
too old for this! Happy Friday the 13th.... I like it better when Friday the
13th falls on a Saturday.... think about that! I got 90 minutes in the car so
