This is wonderful! It sounds like the dog will have a good home. But, if it
doesn't work out, it's comforting to know our GSD family will step up and make
sure the dog does go to a suitable permanent home. Thanks to all who put forth
the effort to discover what was going on with this dog.
BTW, based on the ad, I don't see how Cheryl could have possibly known that
this was a dog of her breeding -- regardless of whether or not she was on the
List. (Gus sired a lot of kids. <G>) If the owner had contacted Cheryl, I
know Cheryl would have done whatever she could to find the dog a home.
Oh well... All's well that ends well. Yes, everyone hug your babies tonight
and be thankful they are with you and not going anywhere.

I just got off the phone with Mike, and three days ago he found a home for
the dog with a local vet, who owns a large home on a large piece of property
where she has horses and some other great dogs. The dog Mike was looking for
a home for is a son of Gus out of Cheryl Olson's breeding. I gave him my
home phone number in case the home doesn't work out. If I hear from him,
I'll let everyone know because I won't be able to keep him.
