In my brush with greatness...
This was years ago, so forgive the details.
This guy called me wanting to look at dogs. He came up with his son and
wanted my pick male from my River x Que litter. He said he was an attorney,
and was buying it for his client, George Foreman. I would not sell him my
pick male. He pushed and pushed, but no go. I referred him to Tom Elkins,
who had a litter. He sold him a male puppy. A few months later after
several phone calls to see how things were going, Mr. Foreman's sister
called him back and told him that the puppy was not doing well, if I
remember correctly they also had a pit bull or Am Staff or Rottweiler or
something, and feeding them together. She also said George didn't think he
was BIG enough. (You should see this dog!)
Anyway, Tom got the puppy back, and he became a Champion.
From what I understand, George ended up with a dog from Gloria and Cappy.
