Suzanne Kane from SNIPPP is acquainted with the Rev. Master of the Portland,
Oregon Buddhist Priory, who is seeking a replacement for their old German
Shepherd who died several months ago. They would like a purebred GDS (not
longhaired), between the ages of 5-8 with reasonably good hips, male or female,
with
knowledge of 'sit' and 'stay', and leash trained. The dog will be a companion
to the Abbess, sleep in her room, join in the priory's various activities,
plus will be her beloved pet. There are two sets of stairs there, that's why
the hips need to be fairly decent. Apparently they have always had GSDs
because they are "so good at meditation". (Don't ask me, I'm just the
messenger
here.)
If you or any of your contacts know of a potential dog that might fit this
bill, Suzanne can vouch for the Rev. Master; she says she is an unbelievable
human being. The priory is completely fenced as well.
