Could you please post this notice and cross post to any rescues and GSD
forums you feel could help in the search for a Missing Katrina German
Shepherd? Ming is owned by a seventy year old woman who was forced
(literally) to evacuate without her two beloved shepherds. It is =
believed
that Ming (age 9) and Sweetie (age 12) were rescued together, Sweetie =
was
located in a foster home and returned to Viola last month but Ming has =
not
been found. Viola is devastated and her and her son have been calling
shelters every day for the past two months in search of Ming. Could you
please have your rescue groups and shelter walkers keep an eye open for
Ming? I have attached a detailed description and photos.

Ming is a nine year old spayed female German Shepherd, she weighs 65 =
pounds.
She has a touch of arthritis in her hind quarters and some dermatitis =
over
her haunches. She has a distinctive widow's peak and her teeth have a =
bit of
yellowing, she is beginning to get some graying in the chin area. She =
has a
dark marking on her left thigh which is visible in the attached photo. =
Ming
had a yellow collar on with id tags with her owners name and address =
(Viola
and Dwayne Blackman) and a LSPCA rabies tag, 473557. =20

Ming's home address was 3720 Peidmont Drive in New Orleans. Ming was =
moved,
along with her twelve year old GSD housemate Sweetie, six blocks east =
to a
safer location at 2357 Wisteria (although the rescue notes for Sweetie
indicated 2339 Wisteria). Sweetie was found in a foster home and =
returned to
the Blackmans, Ming has not yet been found. Ming's owner was forced to
evacuate without her beloved shepherds and misses Ming greatly. Please =
keep
an eye open for Ming so she can return home to Viola and her friend =
Sweetie.
