A different vet ! Also, why is the leg not in a plaster cast and the head in an
Elizabethan collar ?

Sorry my fingers aren't working.
Hi there, my now 9 month old GSD puppy-broke his leg April 28th. He ran into
the cement wall that surrounds my backyard. Freedom was in the Vet for 6 days
and came home May 3rd. He was due back on Wednesday the 8th to remove his
stitches. When they removed the cast the pin was dislodged and the Vet had to
put it back into place. Then on Friday the 10th, Freedom pulled it out again AT
the VETS. They then added more hardware and have kept him and I was thinking he
might come home in a day or so...NOT on your life. I called today about 2 hours
ago and they just said Freedom was in xrays. I thought no way, he wouldn't have
done it again!?? They had him tranquilized most days and all night --so they
thought...just called again and the Vet said Freedom pulled the pin out AGAIN
today and he is now (for the 4th and possibly last time) back together.
Freedom was futurity nominated and I was entered in the Midwest futurity. He
won a Best opposite sex (BOS) puppy at 4 months old.
The Vet is at wits end to get him to stop pulling the pin. He is in the biggest
cage they have and has a e-collar on. I have been extremely worried on so many
levels.
I figure with all the wealth of experience on this list, how does one keep a
fairly busy puppy--German shepherd dog down long enough for the bone to heal??
He also is pulling the pin out some how. Thank you in advance, Angela Scott
