IMPORTANT FUTURITY INFORMATION
You have until Friday, March 4th, to enter a Futurity/Maturity
Anyone may enter a dog from a nominated litter. Any dog entered, (not
necessarily shown), in a regular or amateur Futurity last year may be entered
in this yearâ??s Maturity, as long as one of the co-owners is a member of the
parent club.
This year, for the first time, a dog may be entered in two different
Futurities or Maturities. A separate entry form must be used for each entry.
The double-entered dog may only be shown in one Futurity or Maturity; this
will be checked and penalties may apply for double showing. The reason for
the higher fee to double enter is the additional paperwork and man-hours
required to keep track of these entries. Complete rules are on the GSDCA
web site and I can send you a copy if you need one.
The same dog may be entered in both the regular and amateur venues of the
Futurity or the Maturity. An amateur is someone who does not take money to
show a dog. It can be the owner, a friend, or a junior. Complete rules
are on the web site or I can E-mail a copy to you. The amateur was
designed for people who felt they were not able to hire a professional handler
or
who simply wanted to show their dog themselves.
