This is a very nice GSD.  I have posted "found" ads online at most  of the 
usual sites (Petfinder, Craigslist, Spot-a-Stray, and local  newspaper 
online), and reported to local SPCA and Animal Shelters, as well as  the Vet's 
office closest to where the dog was found.  No one has  responded.
 
I am having a difficult time believing the owner of this dog is not  
looking for it, so I hope we simply have not posted/looked in the same  places. 
 
However, it is always possible there are unusual circumstances  regarding 
this dog.  For example, dogs are stolen and then they escape  from their 
captor, but they may be miles away from where they were  stolen.  So if you 
know 
anyone who has lost a GSD, anywhere in the  country, please email.  Even if 
it was lost months ago, it may be turning  up here, now.  "Here" = New 
Orleans, Louisiana.
 
I want to be sure this dog gets back to the rightful owner.   However, if 
the owner is not looking for the dog, or if the owner cannot be  found, then 
I will place it into New Orleans German Shepherd Rescue.

Please provide the following information:
 
Gender
Age
Size
Color
Any ID (tattoo, microchip, collar, tags)
Distinguishing characteristics or markings
Name of dog
Any commands the dog may know
Temperament
Where the dog was lost
When the dog was lost
How the dog was lost
And if you have one, please provide a photo of the missing dog.
 
I'm sorry to be so particular and detailed, but I am always very careful  
about returning a dog to the right owner.
