I also want to keep supporting my GSD breed. I feel our dues are very high
as well. And I would love to advertise more in the Review but cannot afford
to do so at those prices. Especially when a month doesn't last long enough
to keep the ad memorable! Also, all 10 reasons from Mr. Ginsburg here. Kathy

Subject: One reason prevails

I belong to the GSDCA for only one reason.

There are many reasons not to be a member.  The top ten  are as follows:

1.  The dues are too high.

2.  Cost of advertising in the Review are as high or  higher than any other
National dog magazine.

3.   They allow Ed to be a member.

4.   All the board does is fight with each  other.

5.   Often the board member think they are more than  just a member with a
position.

6.   There are so many committees it takes two pages  in the Review to list
them.

7.   Most of the committees never get anything  done.

8.  Often decisions are made that ignore the rights of  the members to
support income to the club.

9.  The board is not responsive to the members, and even  cut out voting at
the Annual Meeting.

10.  The motivation for the National has become  financial, not what is best
for the entire membership.

No, there are many reasons not to be a member.

But, there remains one reason to join, and it keeps me paying  my dues,
showing dogs, breeding litters, (OK, Tedi does that), supporting the
Juniors, and paying for the Review.
