Do any of you have remedies for dry skin/coat? No hot spots any more (thank
goodness), but I'm getting tired of telling my dog "STOP SCRATCHING!" every
two minutes. I know some would say "just let him scratch", but the intensity
of
his scratching would leave him raw if I allowed him to keep on every time he
started (and he does it often).
He's been on kelp and fish oil supplements (Salmon oil for months), an egg
every other day, he's been to the vet and there are no fungal or bacterial skin
infections....he's had a bath in an oatmeal/aloe shampoo AND been
conditioned...he looks bloody well gorgeous but his scratching won't stop.

I'm glad he's not chewing himself any more, and I've had him tested for
allergies....nothin. I've looked over his skin, and it's just dry. I'm at a
loss.

We tried bacon grease once...but that resulted in an episode of Strauss: The
Amazing Exploding Shepherd. Big yuck.

Any topicals you can suggest?

 - Jackie
