We do contact non renewing members and encourage them to come back. Ever=20
since I started sharing the responsibilities of the Membership Committee wi=
th=20
Gail Hardcastle, approximately four years ago, we have mailed/e-mailed all =20
members who do not renew. Every year we go back approximately 18 months so=20=
=20
there is an overlap of timing. Below, at the bottom of this e-mail, is a c=
opy of=20
the note that I send out to these non-renewing members.

We also have in place a Welcoming Committee that has representatives in eac=
h=20
region and whose responsibilities are to contact new members, provide =20
guidance and support, give them information regarding regional clubs, vets,=20=
=20
training classes, etc. This committee is the brainchild of Zoa Rockenstein=
. =20
Unfortunately, we have not been too active with this committee while I was=20=
focusing=20
on learning my new Membership Database responsibilities. But... I hope to=20
get this group moving again soon and will even add some additional leads. =20=
As=20
it stands today, I send all the members of this committee a list of new GSD=
CA=20
members to contact. I will, in the future, also send out an AKC listing of=
=20
all GSD owners who have recently attained AKC titles. If you or anyone you=
=20
know who is a member of the GSDCA is interested in serving in this committe=
e,=20
please let me know - we need your help and assistance.
