We don't know(nor did he inquire) whether the dogs were imports or not. His
response was completely without merit. I would even think the national Vet.
organization would hand him a reprimand for that answer.
I think the media organizations that publish his tripe should be targeted for
rebuttal, not Dr. Fox. - that will fall on deaf ears and will not achieve any
results of value. But in order for them to publish a rebuttal, we will need the
PC, perhaps the AKC, the Vets' to get involved. Perhaps we could hit him in his
pocket book.

I wonder if I would be sued if I published that all Dyson Vac's were
lemons. I did buy a bad one after all.
I consider his comments as Slander.If I raised GSD's for a living , that
could cost me my lively hood. Perhaps we should publish the stats from OFA
on all the GSD's hip certifications over the past 20 years.
As for Germany, well there are just as many mutt's running there as here
and just as many health issues . I'm sure they don't wait till the dog is 2
years old to register it. At least they sell us puppies don't they.
I'm heading into town for a new key board. My question mark key died a
horrible death.
I also wonder how old the woman's dog was that became week in the rear.
I board and groom a lot of dogs and the worst cripples I see are Shih
Tzu's. They have many knee and eye problems. Of course these come from not so
reputable breeders. I'm sure there are still some GSD breeders that are a
little shady as well but I think over the years we have come a long way.
I often wonder how many of our GSD's were put down from HD years ago simply
because the Vet didn't know how to do a proper X ray.
The only thing to be preached about purchasing ANY breed, is to buy from a
reputable breeder.
