Years ago Bud Drew gave me a Boss daughter. Her sister became an ROM but Zen
was not show quality. A couple of years later Bud & Jeri came to visit me at my
ranch
Zen did not recognize Bud. He asked what did I do to her?? Lol. I did nothing
but give her and the others the best I could offer is all. We were really
shocked that she had no idea who he was.
How embarrassing!!

Yes, talk about amazing: There were several of my last litter placed here in
Tucson. I only see them perhaps once a year….and when I do they all get so
very excited to see me and I usually have to give a belly rub and get
kisses. They never forget – they are now going on 9 years – all but one
still alive out of 8, kept two, bro and sis.
Needless to say that I have found some wonderful owners.

Only once or twice has a dog not remembered me right away. But in those
cases if we stand
and talk to the owner .... the dog always starts recognizing and remembering
my voice. You
can see the light come on .... and they start staring at me getting excited
and demanding pets.
We placed G.V. Bono with the Trocki's when he was four months old. Didn't
see him again for over
two years. When we were at the Canadian National .... and in that crowd,
Bart Bartley was coming
towards us outside the ring when Bono recognized us in the crowd, and he
drug Bart over to us.
Bono was so happy he dropped his toy and was dancing around demanding
pets.....then he picked
up his toy and tried to get us to play with him........<G> Bart got a kick
out of it as he knew exactly
what was going on when Bono started pulling him to us.
Truly an amazing Breed.

I’ve never had a dog that I bred that didn’t remember me years later… even
my voice over the phone.

They all remember Tedi. I have seen dogs that leave here at two months old,
(the youngest we let them go), then see Tedi four or five years later, and
are crazy to see her.
A lot of them, like Ed's dog Teddy are so sound it often is difficult to
know if they just love everyone, or Tedi is special to them.
We sent a dog to a friend of ours in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and hadn't seen
her for six years. She went deaf, (my friend decided to use her for a
retriever and hunting dog), and while she did great, the shotgun didn't work
that well for her. She saw Tedi and went nuts. She is aloof with most
people, but six years later, Tedi was still her best friend. Paula knows
who this bitch is.
We have another dog in Ann Arbor, and she always remembers both of us.
This breed is amazing.
They do so much more that they often don't get credit for.
Me, not so much.

My Asgard dog, bred by Tedi and Evan, remembered them when he was nine
months old and again when he was two years old. He had not seen them at any
other time. I was amazed and curious about how this was possible, never
experienced that from any other dog that I owned or bred! Then yesterday
Evan sent me an email with several attached pictures of him sleeping in a
large puppy box/bed with seven or eight pictures ( very cool). So my theory
is that Evan and Tedi must do this as a routine with all their litters,
therefore the very young puppies imprint in their little brains the scents
and sounds of the Ginsburgs ! My dog is now 4 and he has not seen Evan and
Tedi for about two years! I'd love to test my theory and see if he still
remembers them!.... I'm betting that he will remember them! Ed
