We all know deals and breedings happen at dog shows but this club has
enough Red Flags with AKC now.
It seems to me, the best thing to do, is talk to people. We took a bitch to
the National one time, looked at the dogs, and bred to a young male, named
Scorpio. He went on to win. I remember on year when someone bred to Houston the
day before Specials and he only went number two Select. Had he not bred, he
might have had the extra energy to go number one, who knows?
I remember two people seeing Ben, and breeding to him. I think Mary Ann
Imhoff had considered him, but didn't use him until she saw him at the
national,
and bred to him there. She hadn't asked before, that I know of.
Tedi asked about a puppy she saw walking around, and found he was for sale.
No bandana or sign. Talk to each other, listen to what people are saying, let
it be known you are looking and they will come. communication is always a
good thing at the National.
