If you have so little backbone that you can be forced to act contrary to  
your better sense by the mere threat of litigation, then don't put yourself

I was very dissapointed to hear that one of our members as a guest at the  
board meeting, threatened to sue the club if they put something on the 
club's  website. We then, rightfully elected him to the board.  I wonder  what 
he will do now as a board member when someone threatens to sue him?  I  hope 
he calls me. But, I know him well enough to think he will stand up to the  
threat, perhaps better than the board did to his threat.

I am asked at least one or two times a month to advise about suing the club 
or another GSDCA member. I have been able to stop most of it. I sent a 
letter  out today to avoid litigation between two members.

Remember this is a sport, it is for fun, it is not serious enough to sue  
over, and for gods sake, resolve your differences without lawyers.

If you can't do that, give the lawyer gobs and gobs of cash, and go for  it.
