Great story and yes, I do believe in ghosts. In my early baby years, we lived
in a house that was built over and old farm. Many strange things happened
during that time. Appliances moving, a toy piano playing at night in the kids
room and no kids awake. Locked windows that would be open in the am. Years
later, the house was investigated by ghost experts. That was way after we
moved. Anyway, the house is now a museum as nobody would live in it. It seems
the families after us had the same experiences. The investigators found that
the property was a farm in the 1800's and a young girl and her mother died
there from some illness. There is no death record for the father in that
County so it's not known what happened to him after they died. However,
records show he sold the property to a developer 2 yrs after their deaths.
To make it dog related, I do see my late dogs in my dreams. Treasure and
Gunther were great puppy raisers. When I am conflicted on training or behavior
issues with the youngsters, I see them in my dreams and they just let me know
to trust my instincts. I also see my Mom in my dreams who tells me to keep
following my dream to work with dogs.
I don't see any of them in trees or as images. I just know they are there. I
think they all are trying to turn me in the right direction and when I
accomplish that, they will know they have done their job. Sounds weird for a
hard core cop but I won't dismiss the idea of ghosts.
