Gene and Lynda, I know that youve received the AKC GR Alert with their
opposition points. In California, (L.A. County) we offered a compromise that
each kennel would have their information AND microchip info on it. Another
suggestiont (they took all of them) was that each kennel would have a microchip
scanner on the premises. So if the inspector wanted proof of the dog, he could
have it immediately. The house dogs (limited to 3 in the County) was also
covered by the microchip and the scanner, with the license # with the chip #
on it.
It was covered many ways that way, and no way for people to over-dog or have
kennel dogs in the house (a no-no).
