Here's what my hippie Mom did this year - she went as a "Material Girl" -
literally.
She wore a basic black tshirt and pants and pinned all kinds of material
scraps from her sewing closet all over it.She donned a long blond wig and
wore some really gawdy fake jewelry. Fake eyelashes, etc. It was pretty
funny.
The most creative one I saw was a picnic table - the girl got a piece of
cardboard cut it into a rectangle and put a red checked tablecloth over it.
She got a paper plate and cut a hole in it for her head. Stuck it through so
her head was sitting on a "Platter". She then glued paper plates, plastic
utensils, a mustard and catsup bottle (empty) and plastic food like you get
in the toy department on it. Wore black underneath. VERY funny.
I dressed up like a deer hunter one time - borrowed my brother in laws gear.
Camo face paint and all.
Go to Goodwill - great costume ideas there. Little old lady is an easy
one...gray wig, old dress, shoes and support hose. Bet you can get all that
at Goodwill.

OK, here is a typical last minute panic request. I have to go to a
Wedding/costume party tomorrow night and don't have a clue what to dress as
with no time to go shop. Groom will be Frankenstien and bride is bride of,
figures. Anyone have any ideas of a quick costume with what is in a normal
middle age womans closet to wear? I can make this dog related. Tomorrow is
Pitas 11th birthday and she is invited to the wedding too. She has her fairy
princess costume to wear. Help!!!!!
