I'm in favor of keeping the Placques, even if they are refurbished or if we pay
for our own. With the money the club gets in dues I can't help but fell that
there are other things we can cut. It would seem that for all of the
complaining there is about keeping/vs not keeping our Futurities keeping the
Placques would be the way to do it. Like I said my proudest momernt was in May
2003 when Leslie handed me Cherish's 2nd place Placque

From the amount of talk on the list about doing away with the plaques for
the Futurity it seems like most on the list are not in favor of doing this.
Maybe the ones who are against this should write to Carol Moore and ask
her and the committee to reconsider the decision to do away with the
plaques for 2011 and a couple of options would be buy in bulk and put the
lettering plate on after entries close or have smaller plaques from 2 to 4
placings. If there are any more options you may have add to your letter.
I am going to look for her email address now and send mine.
