Rather than think of it as structure v. beauty, think of it as usefulness v. cosmetics. Dogs with light eyes can see as well as dogs with dark eyes, but in the eyes of many, a missing tooth is a weakness... Not saying I agree with that decision or disagree...but if those are the only faults either animal had, it'd be a miracle. Very few animals have only one fault, little or not...that's why judging is up to the judge.
