Oh, it's NOT good in Colorado Springs right now...
15-20,000 households without power - quite a lot of
snow. Was that the October '97 storm you're referring
to, Colette? That was really a bad one.
I've just got four foot drifts here, a bit east of the
Springs. They CLOSED Schriever AFB. Not just
non-mission essential personnel, the essential ones
too! Nice, I didn't have to take a vacation day,
because I sure wasn't going to go out when the
visibility was zero.
The nice part is, like has been mentioned: By tomorrow
afternoon the snow should be gone, and the weekend is
expected to be beautiful.
FWIW, fourteen years ago when I was transferred here
from the South, I cried and cried..."But, it SNOWS in
Colorado, waaaahh..." Thing is, I'm still here, by
choice. Not having to mess with fleas and mosquitoes
is a big draw for me.
