One of the things everybody (well, almost) seems to be missing is that
the AKC has yet another ulterior motive in this...they hope to get
control of EVERY registry, including UKC's, and do their investigating
from that vantage point. I guess the UKC is looming as too much of a
threat.
Dog Snooz (error on purpose) is usually against the things AKC
does...wonder what THEY'RE getting out of this! I don't wonder at all
what some of their writers are getting...pats on the head from the AKC.
I know Denny Kodner has her fans on the list, after all, she's an old
GSD person...but she was in favor of last year's fiasco concerning the
large volume breeders, too, if you remember...some clubs fired her from
assignments over that. I guess it must pay to kiss the hand (or other
part) of whoever governs your favorite activity, or at least to play
CYA. I wouldn't know, as I've never been able to do either. It
obviously works for some people, tho.
Trust me...the Bill is going to pass, no matter who opposes. And
trust me on this, too...anyone whose name appears in opposition is going
to pay, somehow. It will take AKC the rest of my life, I guess, but
they'll make us pay somehow. Vindictive bunch there, you know.
