Thank you Melissa! Cheyenne had a very enjoyable day -- doing things she
loves most, which is basically getting cuddled and barking at nothing.
This IS important for the list because Cheyenne, like my first bitch, is a
RESCUE. WE assigned February 16th as her birthday because it didn't seem to
far
off from when she might have been born, and February 16 is the day we brought
our first GSD home from a shelter.
That day changed the course of my life forever. It was a long time ago, but
we will never forget where we started nor will we forget or stop trying to
help the many German Shepherds who are in Rescue.
Little did I know that adopting that first little black & tan baby would
direct the course of my life -- late nights turned to early mornings to get to
obedience class and eventually trials, I went from a Camaro to a Cavalier, then
to a Station Wagon with the addition of a 2nd GSD, and then to a van when the
3rd dog came along.
My "budget" for clothes went down to almost nothing -- why waste money on
clothes when I could enter shows? No more vacations via airplane -- we only
went
where we could take dogs.
Job negotiations included being able to take one week for the National.....
I never saw need to get a computer at home until I joined "DA LIST".....
Well, you all get the picture and have been there, and done that!
So Happy Birthday little Chey, and many, many more!!!!
