The earlier posting about Dr. Kruger was incomplete. This is the complete
posting.....
Monday morning at 12:30am Chuck Kruger DVM lost his short battle with
Pancreatic Cancer. Many remember Chuck as Schaferhaus Kennels well known for
his hundreds of Pembroke and GSD champions. Probably his most famous
Pembroke
was Ch. Schaferhaus Yul B of Quanda who won the National Specialty in the
late 1970's and was sire of over 70 champions. He was also the
co-owner/breeder of Ch. Foxlor Schafrhaus Sammy Sosa who was #1 Pem in the
US. In the last few months Chuck was cared for by his close friend Jim
Kirkendall. Chuck died destitute and without a Will, Power of Attorney,
Living Will, burial plans or next of kin/spouse/children. All of his dogs
were co-owned and lived with their co-owners so there are no dogs to find
homes for. Funds from Take the Lead have been applied for but their approval
process will take too long to pay for Chuck's cremation expenses but will be
used for his burial expenses.
We are asking for donations for Chuck's cremation expenses. Checks can be
made out to me and sent to my address.
