I have noticed a sudden temperament change in one of my male pups who will be six weeks old tomorrow. He has always been the more aggressive of the puppies and very outgoing. The last two days when I bring him out of his run and into the yard, he runs back to the "safe" quarters of his run rather than staying out to play with the other puppies. This morning, he was in the kitchen and I reached out to him with a toy. He ran and hid behind me! What gives? How do I nip this in the bud? I can't believe this outgoing little puppy is acting like this. Any suggestions and insight as to what has happened from maybe your own experiences would be so welcome. Pat Castle Kennels, Ltd.
