In your first instance, you said that the original co owner and owner agreed
to go ahead and sign the co owner's name. Still fraudulent, but no
complainers (who turned them in to the AKC by the way??)
On the letter, if I understand correctly, at no point did Lew suggest to
Carmen to go ahead and sign his name.....Carmen just did "thinking" it was ok.
I think the first instance with direction and the second without do make the
issue quite clear when you are wrestling with it.
Everyone makes mistakes, yes. So to excuse a forgery would make it alright
to excuse someone who signs a check for someone else and basically "steals"
funds? According to the law, wrong is wrong. And ignorance of the law does
not give you immunity in court.
From what I understand also of the AKC, there are guidelines, there are
rules, but they are also charged with not allowing an offence under the laws
of
the country to be ignored.
