There are FIVE GSDS currently on death row in various Georgia shelters as well 
as a sweet puppy in a Louisiana hell hole who is slated for euth.
Foster homes are DESPERATLEY needed for these dogs! If you have a spare kennel 
or crate and can help PLEASE contact Carla at 770 307 6057. Georgia German 
Shepherd Rescue appears to have only TWO dogs in their care with two more that 
are courtesy posted...I have contacted them to find out what their accomdations 
are, as some of the Rescues feel putting a dog in a kennel is not the best 
situation. I am certain we all agree that to kennel a dog while he is up for 
adoption is MUCH better than death in a shelter! Kennels can be utilized to 
give Rescues time to ascertain the dogs temperament before putting him/her into 
a foster setting where quirks may suddenly surface. 
Many of the rescues are full to overflowing at this time. Dogs ARE being 
adopted (it seems mostly in the northeast?)but fosters are CRITICAL to these 
dogs survival. 
Again, if you have room in your kennel or a spare crate that can be use 
temporarily, please call Carla! She is working hard to save as many as she can. 
If you have EXTRA kennels and would like to donate them as a tax exemption and 
live in or near Dacula GA, Carla would LOVE to have them! She is in need of 
kennels, shade screens, dog houses, whatever you may wish to send along. I am 
sure she would be happy to arrange pickup as she has a horse trailer.
Thanks for ANYTHING you can do to help this situation. Georgia seems to be 
awash in unwanted GSDS. ....so sad....
