For those of us doing competitive obedinece, we use different words for the
same action

Why? because a spouse, child or relative uses the same word for a different
action

Spouse says COME COME COM - meaning come into the room, come intothe house,
come
and sit with me

I use Here/Hier because I want a quick recall where the dog SITS IN FRONT OF ME.

Spouse and kid use DOWN to mean sit down next to me

I want them to drop imemdiately

I used to have to train the dogs in Yiddush as grandmama who lived with us only
spoke Yiddish.

I find the use of German terms in performance NORMAL. Spouse, kids and
relatives usually
would not use them. The dogs have consistency and no confusion.
