It is impervious to the dogs and grows like crazy. The downside is that it is the last to turn green in spring and the first to turn brown in autumn and is extremely tough to mow. It is low-growing so you don't have to mow it very often, thank goodness, because even my rider-mower has a hard time getting through it.
