Oh I would certainly have to agree on that. I can not think of any breeder
that would breed a diagnosed EPI animal. I think the main discussion is not
knowing who the carrier is/are (if indeed it takes two) and to what length one
goes to remove either or both from the gene pool. At least that is my take on
the subject.

This has been an interestoing discussion, but I would caution some of you on
your terminology. some have said that they believed that either sire or dam or
both had to have EPI; what I think you mean is that there must be one or more
carriers who have a genetic predisposition to EPI but are not active in the
disease, I can not fathom any reputable breeder breeding any animal who
actually exhibited the disease......right? Cynthia.
