One of the worst dog fights I ever saw was at an obedience trial in 1989.
Eight dogs were in the ring doing a sit stay in the Novice A ring when
suddenly a Great Dane broke it's stay and went to sniff a Husky. I was a
spectator at the time. Per the approval of the judge, I used my folding
chair and a leash to brake apart the dogs. The Great Dane got the worst of
it. Even though this occurrence may be rare we still need to properly
socialize and proof dogs.
