About the Black Walnut: I have a puppy who will be shown. His eyes are not
as dark as I would wish for them to be. I understand that was inherited from
his grand sire but I will not change the color of his eyes by "artificial"
means. If he does not win because of that - so be it.

I'm having a hard time believing that this one is true.
So if I start taking black walnut oil my blue eyes should get darker?
I might have to give this a try. I would prefer to experiment on myself
before I tried anything like this on one of my dogs. Not that I would need
to since my girls have Beautiful Eyes!
When my kids were little I use to try the baby food that they didn't like or
their medicines that they would complain about taking just to see what it
tasted like and most of the time they were right. that stuff tasted like
$@#*.
I did find that the Black walnut contains juglone, a powerful and toxic
substance that prevents many plants from growing within the tree's root
zone, extending as much as 80 ft (24 m) from a mature black walnut trunk.
In high doses, juglone is a kidney and liver toxin.
