I was abused all day yesterday by this photo. We, in our homes, may call our
dogs “sweetie,” talk to them in endearing tones, but this is “pet parent,”
“fur babies,” Remaining constant in our battle against the incursions of Animal
Wrongists is so important in the public eye. I am thrilled that I have living
children who can say Happy Mother's Day. I am honored to be a mother. I love(d)
my dogs, Now that I have one old girl, I call her sweetie, sugar, look in her
eyes and tell her to be a brave DOG. Keeping that reality is very important to
me.
Being a pet owner does not qualify in being a mother. I can’t disrespect
anyone who has lost a child by comparing an animal to them.
And that disembodied paw is creepy anyway.
