[ SHOWGSD-L ] Becoming "thick-skinned"

I liked reading Donna's post and her admonitions were true. I hate to
admit it, but when The List got ugly (regarding Westminster), I just
started deleting posts. Lovey and Lenny won the breed at the MOST
prestigious show in the US--implications and innuendos tried to make
that win less glorious. YOU CAN NEVER LET THAT HAPPEN. Case in point
and I can only speak from experience: I learned to become thick-
skinned when BIS Select CH Plainbrfownwrapper v Jada-Edan became
famous. People like to take away happiness. and I don't know why. I
remember going to shows where Punky was being shown (by Henry and
Leslie) and being told by other exhibitors AND an occasional handler
that since Punky was here, they might as well go home. (HEY! I paid
my entry fee just like everyone else!) Better than that, I actually
received anonymous hate mail (against Punky)! Isn't that unreal? I
learned to be thick-skinned and ignore the bs. SOOOOOOO--to Lovey,
Lenny and the Fasanos--BIG congratulations. Don't be hurt. Be BETTER
than that! Go out and do some more winning!
