I have read a few negative posts. One off's occur; but they are the exception
and not the reality in my opinion.

As you know I seldom post, since I have so few opinions.

I think we should consider limiting complaints about showing dogs to those who
do. That goes along with only those who show, voting for the judges.

It seems to me that those who have given up, (for whatever reason) are those
who complain the most about politics, judges, quality or who wins.

There is not much worse than a reformed drinker, smoker who quit smokng, or dog
show person no longer involved.

While I enjoy hearing why they gave it up, it is such a personal choice, maybe
they should keep it that way.

I have had the pleasure to be able to attend several specialty show weekends
this year. San Jose, Lehigh, Tampa, Charlotte, SW Fut/Mat, Great Lakes
Fut/Mat.

I found the support, camaraderie, laughter, and genuine interest in others
success refreshing and fun.

I also know several clubs that are thriving. A strong base of conformation
members; coupled with a strong performance member base. These clubs support
one another in all venues They also support the communikty they reside in;
such as local law enforcement K-9 recognition.

I am with Celeste. I love the dog shows and people who attend them. With a
few exceptions; the best dogs win and most judges have zero tolerance for poor
temperament. "Toe draggers" are becoming far less common. I have seen some
beautiful type out in the ring; animals the general public would find
appealing.

We are a handlers sport. For me the real fun is watching a dog animated and
showing; looking for their owner. A GSD show dog is beautiful to watch.

I go to shows and look for that one special puppy or dog that makes me grab a
catalog and say "Who is that?."

I have read a few negative posts. One off's occur; but they are the exception
and not the reality in my opinion.
