Enrofloxacin (Baytril Rx) is reported to cause cartilage abnormalities in
growing puppies,
particularly smaller breed puppies. The label insert recommends that it not be
used from 2 to 8
months of age
Enrofloxacin should not be administered to puppies. Those between the ages of 4
and 28 weeks
are the most susceptible.
