1.) First, the AKC and all breed clubs need to get lawmakers to pass a law that
states:
PET SHOPS may not sell pure bred dogs.
This would stop most of the mills as there would be very few places to BROKER
these puppies. THe supply would diminish. THere would be NO older dogs to
rescue when they outlived their usefulness.
2.) Stop buying puppies at the livestock auctions. Basic economics of supply
and
demand.
3.) If nobody buys these OLD DOGS, they would NOT necessarily be shot.
Rescue can go tot he AMISH famers and offer to take them off their hands. They
also enjoy bartering, so maybe offer them home canned goodies for these old
animals.
