I heard about that one on the news. That was a couple of years before we
first moved to GA. It was on the news since that was the last time a
tornado actually hit downtown Atlanta.
So far, sitting here at home all is quiet here. Hope it stays that way.
Now to figure out what to feed the dogs! Due to the power outage in
Cartersville I was unable to get dog food. I am sure the dogs won't mind if
I dig out the hamburger, LOL.

I lived in Atlanta in 1975 -- in Ashford Dunwoody -- the tornado -- known as
the Governor's tornado because it hit the Governor's mansion -- hit a mile
on one side of our house, skipped over and hit a mile on the other side. My
husband worked in a high rise downtown and watched the tornado as it moved
toward us. He tried to call, but I was shampooing the carpet in the lower
level while our kids were asleep upstairs, and I didn't hear the phone.
