Non-profit does not mean that there can be no profit. It means that the net bottom line excess left over when all expenses are paid or accrued (which ALL businesses aspire to in our capitalistic society) are not distributed to shareholders/owners/partners, etc. as taxable earnings. Non-profits frequently have surpluses; for-profits frequently have profits. Earnings may not benefit individuals in non-profit organizations. We also are one of the wealthiest PC's in the AKC.
