I would never give a bitch antibiotics just 'cuz.
6 is a bit past where I would try, especially w/ an unsuccessful attempt
and emergency c-section prior, but IF I was going to try, I would absolutely
do a bc/vc, full thyroid panel (she's at an age where it could be low) and
progesterone.
If you haven't used the male in a while, I would evaluate his collection
and if he hasn't had a bc done in the past year, a bc for him too.
