We have bred bitches to improve the substance or structure. I don't remember
every having one not return to show quality.

We just bred Kisses Sweeter Than Wine. Then she took another major. Now we
need the last two points.

Subject: [ SHOWGSD-L ] Another breeding question!

I have a "catch 22" dilemma... Many times in the past I've had problems
breeding bitches when I've waited to breed them after three years... Never had
a problem when breeding before three years old!... I have a "pointed" bitch who
turned two years old a few days ago... Not sure when (or if) or how soon I can
finish her... Are most bitches less "show fit" after having a litter and
returning to the show ring?... Is it an individual thing?... I'd like to wait
and finish her, but I don't want to wait too long and run into fertility
problems! And you all know what "great luck" I have with show dogs! Ed
