I wanted to send this earlier, but my computer's been screwed up. Big time.
(Word of advice... When you plug in a new keyboard, don't forget to unplug
the old one. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.) Anyhow...

So true... At the 2005 National, I had the great fortune of meeting this
magnificent dog up close and personal. I felt like I was meeting a "rock
star" of the dog show world! <grin>
That same day, I had the even greater fortune of taking home a little sable
Alvin daughter. She's the love of my life and has her daddy's face.
Between this girl and her sire, I've become a convert of SABLEism.
At the 2006 National, who can forget Alvinnnnn humping it around the ring to
take the Vet class and then going Select again? He was just 3 months or so
short of his 9th birthday and looked soooo good!
My favorite Alvinnnnn moment came as Tiff and he were leaving the ring after
the Veterans class... The crowd was chanting Alvin's name and the old boy
turned around a couple times to acknowledge his cheering section. The crowd
went wild!
If you play Bob Lindsay's 2006 National DVD, you'll hear Bob say, "That's
one special dog! No doubt about it!" I think Bob summed it up pretty darn
well!
Thanks for the memories, Alvinnnnn. We'll see you at the Bridge...

It seems like whatever was wrong has been fixed...Comcast appears to be
letting list mail thru again. Sadly, the first post I received was Arlene's
sympathy note to Tif and Joanne.......... So - I missed the post about the
girls losing Alvinnnnnn, and the very thought of it brings tears to my
eyes.....
I'll never forget the day Tif won the breed under me in Ohio with a
class bitch and then, later, showed me Alvin...who was not entered, just
along for the ride. I wanted to murder her.......HOW DARE YOU NOT SHOW ME
THAT WONDERFUL DOG I'm sure I was screaming.........
We know, deep down, that we will lose them all some day........some
have a place in our hearts, others have places in all our
hearts........Alvinnnnnnnnn
was one of those........What a sad day for us all, tho........we loved you,
Alvinnnnnnnnnnn......sleep well now............!
