Do you buy because you like the looks of someones website? Do you check credentials?....Do you buy from a "friend of a friend"?.. I would think all of the above. Mostly go with someone who is recommended by someone you trust. If you want a top dog, you do have to prove yourself, and it requires trust on both sides. Try to figure out what you like, then ask others about your opinion. When you gain the trust of a breeder, you will find they want to help. There are more good dogs than there are good owners. It is not easy to match them. Then remember, even a top breeder can misunderstand the quality of the puppy. They don't all grow up to be Select, and unless the board eliminates the restrictions, fewer will in the future. The Devil made me say that.
