My first time ever to travel to 'special' a dog. It was indoors and I was
horrified with
this huge big bi color male that had only shown in big outdoor rings with
plenty of
room. He still floated around the ring with power like he was out on grass.
One of
the few GOOD photos he ever took also.....so we used it for the Ad.
He was definitely not photogenic and hated being posed .....so he would give
Jerry a
hard time and brace himself when the choke chain went up ...and lose all of his
angles.
A small war going on when he was posed......but Jerry handled it with such
aplomb
no one knew. <G>
He would do anything for Jerry till that choke chain went up to pose...then all
bets were off.
When he went to shows with us for years after he was G.V......he would look for
Jerry in
the crowd and always barked till he came over to give him a treat and give him
a pat.

It seems like a million years ago Janice Staley judged the Jan/Feb Chicago
shows..( Mid 90's I guess)...I saw an ad in the Review with Janice giving WD
or maybe even BOB ( I can't remember) to this drop dead gorgeous Bi-color
dog!....I called Janice up and asked her about the dog and the
owner!......several months later I'm reading a classified ad in the ReviewÂ
from a woman from Port Alberni Canada......advertising a litter sired by this
Bi-color bombshell.......I flew up to Canada to visit the woman......never
owning a show GSD before I bought two out of that litter...a year or so latter
I bought two more ( Same Sire)............been hooked on that dog ever
since!...........a Supreme Court justice once said.." I can't define what
pornography is, but I know it when I see it".......I can't discuss shoulder
blades and dogs kicking up in the rear like Mr Goldfarb, Ms Fox, or Ms
Martello......but I know a great GSD when I see it.....who is this wonderful
Bi-color dog I speak of
