-----Original Message-----

The ASPCA is sending out weekly bulletins urging people to write to
Pennsylvania's Dog Law Advisory Board and support the new, stricter
regulations to crack down on puppy mills. Obviously ASPCA who pushed
Rendell for all the changes, has no concern for any collateral
damage these regulations will cause breeders. Using emotional
leverage of fighting puppy mills brings kind hearted souls into the
fight in droves.

When ASPCA posted their notice last summer on NC's so called hog/dog
bill (the one that forgot to use the word "hog" anywhere) it
generated at least 500 supporting emails to NC General Assembly
legislators.

*PLEASE* people, if you have not taken time to write do so now
before the public hearing portion is over. It was extended until
March 16th. The Bureau is only accepting letters through the U.S.
Postal Service.

Send the letter to:
Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement
Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture
Attn: Ms. Mary Bender
2301 North Cameron Street
Harrisburg, PA 17110-9408

Go to: http://home.paonline.com/pfdc/ for talking points and to
find your state representatives so you can copy them (you can reach
them faster than snail mail by faxing or emailing).

Also go to SAOVA website: http://saova.org/news.html for other
suggestions on who to contact - such as the Independent Regulatory
Review Commission (IRRC).
