For those who were asking if AKC was supplying the breeders' names to  
CA Board of Equalization, this is AKC's response.

Thank you for your email. AKC has not and will not provide any of our

registration information to the BOE. It appears that they are using the

AKC page to link to the home pages of various parent clubs and then

contacting the folks on those breeder referral lists. Everything they

are using is publicly posted on an internet site so there really isn't

anything we can do to stop them.

In terms of the catalogs, that is part of the Dog Show Rules so you

would need to ask your delegate to raise the issue as any changes to the

dog show rules have to come from the delegate body. I am copying our

publications department so they can address the question about what

information is in the Gazette, but I will point out that there isn't any

reason to believe that the Gazette has been a source for any of these

letters. Individual clubs decide what information to list on their

websites.
